Cheat enabled you wascally wabbit
Hi there,
I've been working on the cheats system for the game. I think is ready now, at least it handles the original cheats and custom ones I created.
The original idea was to support the original cheats, which I did, but then I realize that I could use the system to make some custom cheats that allow me to control some of the engine and in game features. For instance, I had key shortcuts to set up the global speed of the game, or to change the scale of the game. So I figure I could instead use some custom cheats to set this things up.
The cheats can be activated with the Enter key in a scene (menu or map). For menu scenes the cheats input is shown in the top part of the screen, and for maps, the cheats input is shown in the status bar, like the original game does. The original cheats works only on maps, since they are specific to in-game features. The custom ones works both in scenes and in maps.
Original cheats
- Pot of Gold: Gives 10000 gold and 5000 lumber to the player
- Eye of newt: All spells are now be able to be casted
- Iron forge: Research all upgrades
- Ides of March: Brings player to final campaign sequence
- Corwin of Amber: Enables cheats
- There can be only one: Your units stop taking damage and deal 255 damage
- Crushing defeat: Instant loss
- Sally Shears: Disables fog of war
- Human #: Skip to human level (enter 1-12 for #, although for now is only for the first two levels)
- Orc #: Skip to orc level (enter 1-12 for #, although for now is only for the first two levels)
- Hurry up guys: Speeds up building/unit production
- Yours truly: Win current mission
Custom cheats
- Music #: Set volume music (enter 1-45 for #)
- Music {on|off}: Enable or disable music
- Sound {on|off}: Enable or disable sounds
- Music vol #: Set volume of music (enter 0-100 for #)
- Sound vol #: Set volume of sounds (enter 0-100 for #)
- Scale #: Set global scale (enter 1-5 for #)
- Speed #: Set global speed (enter 1-5 for #)
- Edit {trees|walls|roads|ruins}: Set edition mode for trees, walls, roads or ruins respectively
- Rain of fire: Throw rain of fires when clicking on the map
- Add unit #: Set edition mode for unit (enter name of unit for #)

I plan to add some other custom cheats, specifically about some engine debug features, like showing the grid in a map, highlights of path finding paths or highlighting of the sprites that conform an unit.
Also along the way I fix a number of bugs I found.
